2 Chronicles 15:7
“But be strong. Don’t give up. God will reward you for your work.”
At the recent LSU vs Georgia game, I realized I captured the ball less than a foot from the goal and knew what today’s blog was going to be about.
This scripture is a word of encouragement from God via a prophet He sent to the king with this message for his people.
They were weary and discouraged. Circumstances seemed unattainable. Their enemies kept coming at them relentlessly.
And this is where God showed up.
Do you ever wonder how close you have come to reaching a goal you set for yourself only to grow weary and walk away from the dream?
If only we had visible goal lines set before us that were this clear to see, would it change our determination to cross the goal line?
There are many amazing coaching systems in place today that do help us set goals and do help us accomplish them. But unless we diligently train and put into practice what we have learned in training, we will likely not cross the goal line, accomplished and motivated to stay in the “game” of life.
The study of God’s word is packed full of rich and focused instruction on how to live this life and live it well.
After a timeout and review of the play, it stood as it was called on the field and our team went on to score a touchdown.
God is the greatest coach of all.
He wrote the playbook of life. Do not be misguided into thinking it is outdated and inapplicable to today’s world.
Quite the opposite is true once you commit your life to crossing that goal – this time an eternal one.
God will be, is always and always has been our greatest fan. Even when the world gives up on us, He never will.
“Lord, we come to You today, asking for Your help. We run out of ideas. We exhaust ourselves attempting to cross the goal line on our own abilities. Turn our ears and our eyes to You. Open our hearts to Your instruction. We love You, Lord. We praise You. We welcome Your instruction and Your presence in our lives. Forgive us when we forget and forgive us when we walk away from the goal. We come to You now, in this place and in this moment. We want to follow You across the goal line into eternity with You. Amen”

Loved the quote that God is my greatest fan. What a joy, blessing, and comfort. I lost my best and longest life time friend this May from melanoma cancer. She was my best and greatest fan when it came to the goals that I set for myself inn this life. I miss her terribly. But God is always near.
Hi Sylvia! Yes!!!!! What would we do amongst all the loss in our lives if we didn’t know how near God always is. I’m really sorry about your friend leaving but I’m so grateful for God fulfilling His promises to always be with us and that you have that comfort.
